MEDIA ALERT
Attention motorists: Expect delays at locations intersecting with St. Louis Street between Glenstone and Campbell Friday evening from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. due to the Birthplace of Route 66 Parade. The parade kicks off at St. Louis and Glenstone at 6 p.m. and proceeds East to Park Central Square. The Square will be closed to through traffic beginning Friday at 1 p.m.
Main north/south arterials of Glenstone and National Avenues will remain open, however delays are to be expected, particularly on National Avenue at St. Louis St. between 6 and 8 p.m. The best north/south routes to take across town will be Glenstone and Kansas Expressway. Campbell will be a good choice for northbound motorists only, as it is a one-way street from Grand to Commercial St.
