Republic Road between Lark Street and Parkcrest Avenue to close overnight Sept. 29

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Republic Road between Lark Street and Parkcrest Avenue will be closed to traffic from 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 until 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, weather permitting. Crews will continue installing new girders on the bridge over James River Freeway. All driveways to businesses will be open, but an alternate route may need to be taken.

This work is a part of the Republic Road Widening project from Lark Street to Parkcrest Avenue. The project is funded by the City of Springfield’s 1/8-cent Transportation Sales Tax and the Federal Surface Transportation Program.
