FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Springfield Police Department was dispatched to 831 W. Catalpa at 6:58 p.m. on March 11 after a 911 caller found an injured male lying along the road.
Officers and medical personnel located Landon M. Bays, 18, of Springfield near the roadway who had critical injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Bays was transported to a hospital and was taken off life support on Monday, March 14.
Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or Crime Stoppers at 417-869-8477.
