FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Springfield Police Department will be joining efforts with statewide law enforcement on April 14 for an aggressive “Click It or Ticket” mobilization to get more motorists to buckle up and to save more lives.
Despite evidence proving the benefits of wearing a seat belt, 20 percent of Missouri motorists are still not making it click. Even worse, 63 percent of individuals killed in crashes in Missouri during 2015 were not wearing their seat belts. Local motorists should be prepared for increased Click It or Ticket enforcement. The SPD will be out there to remind motorists that seat belts can, and do, save lives.
