FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Update: Frank P. Lambert (DOB, 6-30-58), who was identifying previously as Frank Schultz, was taken into custody this evening after police received a tip from a citizen and located Lambert in the 800 block of N. Forest in Springfield. The search for Lambert has been a coordinated effort between the Springfield Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section, Special Investigations Unit, Special Response Team and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Lambert is an absconded sex offender for the act of child fondling and is registered with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He has a parole violation warrant out of Bell County, Tex. for indecency with a child, sexual contact. He is currently being held in the Greene County Jail.
The Springfield Police Department’s investigation is active and ongoing.

Original release: The Springfield Police Department is investigating a male going by the name of Frank Schultz, 48. It is believed that Schultz sexually abused two juveniles at his residence, 1121 W. State, in June.
Schultz has been charged by the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with attempted statutory sodomy, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation. A warrant for his arrest has been issued, and several attempts to locate Schultz have been unsuccessful. Once arrested, Schultz’s bond has been set at $250,000.
It is possible Schultz has been using an alias. Anyone with information about his possible whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS.
The charges announced herein are merely an accusation, and Schultz is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
