A total of 546 motorists were contacted during the two hours the checkpoint was in operation. Two drivers were arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and three were arrested for outstanding warrants.

Consequences of drunk driving include jail time, loss of driving privileges, sentencing to use ignition interlocks and increased insurance rates. Financial losses include attorney fees, court costs, lost time at work and the potential loss of a job.
Drunk driving is not worth the consequences – remember, if you drink and drive, you lose.
