Commercial Street now open to traffic between Benton Avenue and Washington Avenue

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Traffic is flowing once again along Commercial Street between Benton Avenue and Washington Avenue as construction progresses on the Commercial Street Streetscape Phase 5 project.

A temporary driving surface will be in place on the roadway and new roundabout through the weekend. The final pavement work will be completed Monday, Oct. 10, weather permitting. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

Motorists are advised to watch for lane shifts and use caution as work continues on the lighting, sidewalk, and landscaping elements of the streetscape design.
