City of Springfield and OTC to announce new opportunities for students on Monday, Nov. 28

Who: The City of Springfield and Ozarks Technical Community College

When: Monday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m.

Where: The Jared Atrium in the Information Commons Building at the OTC Springfield Campus

What: The announcement of new resources that will increase opportunities for students to pursue education leading to healthcare careers.

Why: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. will face a critical shortage of healthcare workers, especially nurses, in the next decade. The opportunity unveiled at Monday’s announcement will help address that labor shortage while removing barriers so students can pursue healthcare careers.
