City to transition to new phone system tomorrow; brief outages may occur in morning hours

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, July 21) the City of Springfield with will begin a transition to a new phone system. The move is expected to be completed by 9 a.m. During this time, there may be some brief phone outages when calling City offices. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our phone system capabilities for the future. Emergency communications and 911 phone calls will not be impacted by this change. ### For more information, contact: Jeff Coiner, director, Information Systems, at 417-864-1626.
