MEDIA ALERT The City of Springfield and Council of Churches of the Ozarks will host the annual Gift of Time Awards luncheon noon-1 p.m. tomorrow at the Ramada Inn Oasis Convention Center, 2456 N. Glenstone. The Gift of Time Awards has the distinction of being the original volunteer recognition event in the Ozarks. It began in 1991, and has recognized hundreds of volunteers since its inception. All Gift of Time nominees will be recognized for their volunteer efforts at the luncheon. Ten nominees have been selected by the judges to be given the title "Volunteer of the Year." One lucky honoree will be selected to receive a $500 award for the charity of their choice. Award recipients will have their portrait displayed on the Rosanna Bradshaw Memorial Wall of Fame in the Busch Municipal Building throughout the coming year. Bradshaw, the Wall of Fame's namesake, was an active volunteer in the Ozarks for many years and helped to create the Gift of Time program.
