Greene County Highway Department hiring seasonal workers

SPRINGFIELD, MO –  The Greene County Highway Department is looking to hire 10-15 temporary seasonal maintenance crew workers and will be having open interviews 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 3 at 2065 N. Clifton Ave. Springfield, MO. in the Mobile Career Center bus. This event is in partnership with the Missouri Job Center.


Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalency, must be at least 18 years of age, and a valid Missouri class B CDL with airbrake endorsement is preferred. Maintenance crew duties may include hand patching, shoulder stabilization, paving, sign maintenance, striping, vegetation control, pipe & guardrail installations, bridge & box culvert maintenance, snow removal, and other duties as required. Hourly pay starts at $11 per hour without a CDL and $12.50 with a CDL. Hours are Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from April to October.
