Update to missing person :
John Thomas, recently listed as an endangered missing person, has been located in Tulsa, OK. SPD Officers developed information that he might be at a location in Tulsa, OK. They contacted the Tulsa Police Department, who responded to the location at approximately 1:30 pm today. Mr. Thomas was found to be safe and at the location of his own free will. No further action was taken, and Mr. Thomas is no longer considered a missing person.

The Springfield Police Department is investigating a report of a missing and endangered person, and is asking for the public’s assistance. John L. Thomas III was last seen on July 29, 2018 at 3550 East Evergreen Street. Mr. Thomas is autistic and is unable to care for himself. He does not have his medication and can act out violently without it. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, and an unknown type of shirt. He typically carries a backpack with him.
John Thomas is a black male, 26 years old, 6’0” tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding Thomas' whereabouts is asked to call 911, or contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810.
