Tuition-free manufacturing training to begin in January

Aspire to Create

SPRINGFIELD, MO – The Missouri Job Center and Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) have partnered to develop the Aspire to Create program focused on preparing young adults receiving SNAP Benefits for careers in manufacturing through hands-on learning and skill certifications.


The classes are taught up to forty hours per week from Jan. 7-March 22. Participants will be paid $12/hour while they learn, and certifications are industry-recognized. Certifications include OSHA 10, Forklift, National Career Readiness Certification, and Certified Production Technician (CPT).


The tuition-free classes will be taught at OTC and are partially funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
