Manufacturing Hiring Event to Celebrate Manufacturing Day

As a lead in to Manufacturing Day on October 4, the Missouri Job Center is hosting a manufacturing hiring event on Tuesday, October 1, from 9 am to 12 pm, at the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine, in Springfield.

“This is a great opportunity for job seekers to meet with nearly a dozen local and national manufacturers who are looking to hire quality employees for a wide-range of positions,” said Dennis Wiggins, Business Services Supervisor with the Job Center.

Representatives from area companies will be available to answer questions about job openings, and even conduct on-site job interviews. Attendees should dress appropriately, bring an updated resume, and be ready to interview.

This event is the first in a series of events held in conjunction with OTC and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate Manufacturing Day on October 4. “We all recognize the importance of manufacturing to our region and want to do all we can to support and promote the valuable employment and economic opportunities manufacturers provide,” said Wiggins.

For information about the hiring event, please contact Katherine Trombetta at 417-841-3389, or [email protected].
