FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The City of Springfield is accepting comments on the attached listing of projects and programs being considered for CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) and HOME (HOME Investment Partnerships Programs) funding during the City’s 2019-2020 fiscal year (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020).
Approximately $1.5 million will be available to qualifying projects, of which approximately $1.3 million will go toward City Council priorities in housing and homeless services, administration and planning; leaving approximately $192,000 available for discretionary projects. It is estimated that approximately $967,000 will be available for affordable housing activities through the HOME program.

City Council will hold a first reading and public hearing on the FY 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan at its meeting at 6:30 p.m., March 25 at Historic City Hall with a vote expected at the next meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 8.
