South Avenue just south of Primrose Street will be closed on Monday for gas and water relocation work on the Primrose Street – South Avenue to Kimbrough Avenue project. This closure will last for a week.
The project widens Primrose Street to five lanes between South Avenue and Kimbrough Avenue. The project includes the addition of bike lanes, sidewalks, storm sewer, curb and gutter, gas and water renewals, traffic signal upgrades at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Primrose Street, and a sewer extension.
The project is funded by the ¼-Cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax.
