Utility work downtown along Jefferson Avenue to affect on-street parking stalls

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A utility company is underway installing fiber optic cables downtown along Jefferson Avenue between Walnut Street and Kansas Expressway through the end of February. Downtown visitors and business owners can expect on-street parking stalls along the east side of Jefferson Avenue to be closed. The roadway is expected to be reduced to a single lane periodically throughout the month to facilitate the installation. 

Motorists are advised to use caution when driving through the work area.
