UPDATE: Richard Dale Hopkins located

Richard Dale Hopkins was located early this morning by a family member. He was safe and unharmed. Thank you to all who assisted in the search.

The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing, endangered person.  

Richard Dale Hopkins is a 72-year-old white male. He is 5'4" tall, 155 lbs, bald, and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black stocking hat, blue plaid button up shirt, dark gray sweatpants, and black house slippers. Hopkins has a wound on the back of his head that requires regular medical attention. 

He was last seen on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at about 1:00 p.m., leaving his residence in the 1800 block of E Dale on foot without any of his medications. 

Police are seeking to confirm his well-being. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call 911 or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
