The Springfield-Greene County Health Department has released guidance for the holiday season to help families shop safely and reduce their risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.
You can find recommendations on how to Shop Safely at health.springfieldmo.gov/shopsafely. It includes valuable information on how to stay safe and healthy when purchasing all the holiday necessities.
It includes considerations that shoppers should take when planning their holiday shopping to reduce the risk of disease spread, in addition to emphasizing the 3 Ws:
There is also a list of suggested lower risk alternatives to crowded, one-day sales events for retailers. This includes using options like curbside pick-up, online stores and personal shopping via a service like Zoom.
Retailers will also find new printable flyers on the webpage to encourage patrons to exercise the 3 Ws.
