Message from Mayor McClure and Presiding Commissioner Dixon, April 24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Springfield, Missouri Mayor Ken McClure and Greene County, Missouri Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon share their weekly video message to the community.

On Tuesday April 21, the City and County extended their Stay-at-Home orders through May 3, but the new orders contain a "half-step" toward reopening the local economy the form of an amendment allowing businesses which sell at retail, including those which otherwise do not qualify as an Essential Business, to take orders by telephone, online, or by any other ordering system in which the order is not made in person. The amendment also allows these businesses to fulfill orders by shipping, delivery, or curbside pickup.

The City and County plan to issue orders outlining additional steps for reopening the local economy on April 29.
