The City of Springfield and the Springfield-Greene County Health Department will host a media briefing at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Training Room of the Public Safety Center, 330 W. Scott.
We ask that members of the media – one per outlet – arrive 10-15 minutes early for a health screening, wear a face covering and practice physical distancing while in the briefing.
The briefing will provide an update on City Council's vote on a one-reading emergency bill on tonight's agenda that may extend the masking requirement in the city limits of Springfield through Jan. 9, 2021.
Media can utilize footage from a pool camera but will be spaced to maintain physical distancing. Reporters and the public can continue to tune in to the livestream on the City’s and Health Department’s Facebook pages or at https://cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream/.
For reporters who will not appear in person, questions can be directed via text message to Cora Scott, 417-380-3352.
For media requests, please contact Cora Scott, 417-380-3352.
