FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The City of Springfield wants to hear from citizens on a variety of topics including public safety, law enforcement and race relations. In addition to listening sessions scheduled in November, the City will mail a survey to randomly selected households in the coming weeks.
Adults (age 18 or older) are asked to take a few minutes to complete the survey and then mail the completed questionnaire in an enclosed postage-paid, self-addressed envelope by Nov. 28, 2020. The completed questionnaire will go directly to Opinion Research Specialists, LLC, a local independent research company, who will collect and analyze the results. The information provided on the questionnaire is completely anonymous and will not reveal identity or household.
“Participation is very important,” said City Manager Jason Gage. “We will present findings of this survey, along with additional public feedback, to City Council.”
The City has increased public engagement efforts, despite the coronavirus pandemic. For a complete list of citizen activities, visit springfieldmo.gov or follow the City on Facebook or Twitter @CityofSGF.
