Leaders from the City of Springfield and Springfield-Greene County Health Department will provide a media briefing at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 in the training room of the Public Safety Center at 330 W. Scott.
The briefing will go over the requirements of the proposed ordinance to extend the masking and social distancing requirements and occupancy restrictions in the city limits that will be voted on at tonight's City Council meeting.
We ask that members of the media – one per outlet – arrive 10-15 minutes early for a health screening. Please wear a face mask and practice physical distancing while in the briefing.
Media can utilize footage from a pool camera but will be spaced to maintain physical distancing. Reporters and the public can continue to tune in to the livestream on the City's and Health Department's Facebook pages or at https://cityview.springfieldmo.gov/livestream/.
For reporters who will not appear in person, questions can be directed via text message to Cora Scott, 417-380-3352.
For media requests, please contact Cora Scott, Director of Public Information and Civic Engagement, at 417-380-3352.
