James Browder was located at about 6:00 p.m. on Feb. 9th. After seeing the Silver Alert, a citizen called the Springfield Police Department and was able to successfully assist officers with located Browder in Springfield.
The Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance locating missing 81-year-old James Browder.
Browder was last seen on Feb. 9, 2021, between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. leaving Mercy Hospital, located at 1235 E. Cherokee.
Browder is a white male, 5’10, and 220 lbs. He has brown hair, a short beard, and brown eyes. Officers believe Browder is wearing the same clothes as in the accompanying photo, which shows a green coat and plaid button-up shirt. Browder is believed to suffer from cognitive decline and confusion.
Police are seeking to confirm his well-being. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call 911 or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
