Missouri Job Center Resumes In-Person Workshops
The Missouri Job Center announces the return of monthly in-person workshops beginning in May, to help job seekers understand the application process and prepare for an interview. Masking and social distancing will still be required to attend the workshops and you must call ahead to reserve your spot.
“As occupancy restrictions ease, we are excited to offer a variety of workshops to help job seekers land their dream job,” said Sally Payne, Interim Director of Workforce Development for the City of Springfield. “We look forward to resuming these workshops in May that were put on hold last year during the pandemic,” Payne added.
The workshops will be held at 2900 E. Sunshine in Springfield and are free to the public. Courses include Online Applications and Resumes, Interview Process, Budgeting 101, Veteran’s Resources, Career Exploration and APPLIE, a workshop to help those with past legal issues. You must call 417-887-4343 ahead of time to reserve your spot at one of the workshops. For a calendar of times and dates, please visit the Missouri Job Center, Ozark Region on Facebook or Twitter.
“This is a job seeker’s market right now, and there are more jobs than people to fill them,” Payne said. “That makes this a ideal time to find a really great job,” she added.
