Workforce Vibe Releases Latest Episode on Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace

The Department of Workforce Development has released the latest episode of its Workforce Vibe podcast focusing on the role diversity and inclusion play in creating a more vibrant workplace. The episode features Taj Suleymon, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the City.

Suleymon, who is of Sudanese and Saudi parents, immigrated to the United States 21 years ago. He spoke no English at the time but had a desire to succeed. The podcast, hosted by Workforce Development Director Sally Payne, touched on how we as a community can value diversity and inclusion and how those things are relevant to the workplace.

“Springfield already has diversity and inclusion efforts in place, I see my role as connecting those efforts and engaging everyone involved in that space,” Suleymon said.

Workforce Vibe can be accessed on most major podcast platforms including Apple iTunes and Spotify. You may also listen to all three Workforce Vibe episodes on under the podcasts section.
