The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is once again partnering with the Springfield Fire Department and Springfield-Greene County Library District for COVID-19 vaccine clinics in the coming week.
Clinics will be held at Fire Station #5 on September 7 from 3-5 p.m., Fire Station #1 on September 11, the Library Station on September 8 from 3-5 p.m. and the Library Center on September 9 from 3-5 p.m. Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.
To date, the Health Department has hosted 35 vaccine events at Springfield fire stations and libraries across Greene County. A total of 1,381 doses have been administered at these clinics.
As of Friday, 47.33% of Greene County residents 12 and older are fully vaccinated while 52.95% are partially vaccinated.
The Health Department is currently offering third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines to certain immunocompromised individuals. Qualified individuals may obtain a third dose at any clinic listed at vaccine417.com or by calling the COVID-19 Call Center at 417-874-1211.CoxHealth, Mercy Springfield and Jordan Valley Community Health Center are also offering third doses for moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals.

• Japanese Fall Festival (SGCHD) -- 2400 S Scenic in the pavilion area outside the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden from 2 – 4 pm. Vaccine offered: Pfizer (ages 12+) or Moderna (ages 18+)
These opportunities are in addition to the recurring vaccination clinics at Jordan Valley Community Health Center’s Tampa Clinic at 440 E. Tampa. Jordan Valley is offering walk-in vaccinations for Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson Monday – Friday from 8 am – 3 pm, with extended hours on Tuesday from 8 am – 6 pm COVID-19 vaccines are also available by appointment or walk-in through CoxHealth and Mercy Hospital Springfield.
