Deployed SPD Officers Welcomed Home by Motorcade
On February 16, Officers Daniel Carlson and Brandon Gonzalez returned home from a year-long deployment in Cuba. The officers were welcomed by a Springfield Police Department Special Response Team (SRT) motorcade, including the Bearcat.
Carlson and Gonzalez were deployed to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba where they served as security for detainees with the Missouri National Guard.
Both officers will return to the Springfield Police Department’s force in March. Carlson returns to SPD’s SRT Red Team and Gonzalez returns to his patrol squad.
